D. Hwang
Born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1969, D. Hwang received a BFA degree in painting and sculpture from Parson’s School of Design in New York. He has directed commercials, designed logos, and created 3-D animation for music videos and TV. His work has been exhibited at Pleiades Gallery and Tompkins Square Gallery in New York; in Seoul, his work has been exhibited at the Sunjae Art Center and the Hello Art Center.
Exploring the beauty and purity of machinery, combining the human tendency to fear it while longing for nature, D. Hwang concludes that machinery is a part of nature.
